The Baalbeck International Festival has evolved to become a major International Arts and Culture event, attracting over 40,000 spectators every summer and hosting icons like Johnny Hallyday (2003), Placido Domingo (2004) and Sting (2001), among many others.

Dating back to the mid 1950's, the Baalbeck International Festival is managed by a non-profit association of volunteer members who believe in the role of Lebanon as an intersection between East and West.

Held in the Roman Acropolis during July and August every year, the Baalbeck International Festival has been a major contributor to our national cultural inheritance, featuring major Lebanese masterpieces by the Rahbani Brothers, Raymond Gebara, Romeo Lahoud and many others.

At the onset of the 21st century, the festival still has the power of renovation to offer innovative program every year.
