Education is the great equalizer, in the sense that when people have access to education they have more choices about which direction to direct their lives. Education is a way of conferring individual responsibility on citizens to guide their own fates, as well as a way of building capacity within the country to fulfill those positions where more human resources are required. Education also ensures that we will have less work to do in the long run: we aim to provide enough support so that communities can get on their feet and eventually effectuate change from within.
Our education-related projects are focused on schools that serve as models for diversity. We want to help fund those schools that encourage pluralism among their student populations; these students will then become ambassadors for the idea of cooperation and community building based on their own positive experiences as part of a diverse school community.
