Act for Lebanon at the BIM 2006December 4, 2006
In spite of the political impasse Lebanon has been going through, more the Beirut International Marathon was able to revitalize the city and bring together athletes and amateurs from allover Lebanon.
From the 28th of November to the 2nd of December 2006, more than 30,000 visitors gathered at the Beirut International Marathon Village. On Race Day, more than 20,000 participants from 45 countries took the run.
For the fourth year in a row, on December 3rd, 2006, the Beirut International Marathon represented a unique experience that blended people together under one unified theme: FOR THE LOVE OF LEBANON.
Act for Lebanon was present in the BIM Village for a period of four days before the race day, disseminating its mission, objectives and achievements. The stand became a socialization platform inviting the visitors to fill their own books with their own ACTS FOR LEBANON.
In the center of this space two hives of bees were displayed to illustrate the message:
